Learning and Disability Support

Learning Support

Everyone deserves the chance to advance their careers through education. With that in mind, we’ve put a number of support measures in place for learners with disabilities and learning difficulties. A dedicated ACO will be on hand to guide them throughout, and we’ll have a plan in place to not only accommodate their needs, but ensure they flourish as well. We’re here to help!

We’ll also talk about tailored learning plans, one-on-one training, smaller sessions, extra time on tests, modified tests and more. Each student is different, and we’ll focus on a plan that works best for them as an individual.

The Colleges’ Partnership is proud to be a Disability Confident employer.

Inclusive Entry Requirements for Apprenticeships

To make sure we stick to our promise of education for everyone, we’ve made some adjustments. The minimum maths and English requirements for Entry Level 3 qualifications have been lowered for people with disabilities or learning difficulties. This way, we’re able to support learners who meet the occupational standard of their apprenticeship, but struggle to achieve the requirements for maths and English.

We encourage apprentices with disabilities or learning difficulties to try to achieve level 1 or 2 in maths and English if they feel they can. We’ll be here with you, every step of the way, offering as much support as you need.
