Functional Skills Tutor - Middle Wallop
Are you a passionate Functional Skills tutor who enjoys helping learners build confidence, capability, and real-world skills?
We’re looking for an experienced and learner-focused Functional Skills Tutor to deliver English and/or maths to apprentices and learners across our provision. This role plays a vital part in supporting learner progress, achievement, and successful completion of apprenticeship programmes.
You’ll work closely with learners, delivery teams, and managers to ensure high-quality teaching, assessment, and support, aligned to awarding body requirements and organisational standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering Functional Skills English and/or maths, including initial and diagnostic assessment
- Teaching, assessing, and providing feedback in line with awarding body regulations
- Supporting learners with information, advice, and guidance throughout their programme
- Maintaining accurate learner records and completing all required documentation
- Supporting examinations and invigilation as requiredWhat you’ll bring:
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Experience delivering and assessing Functional Skills in an FE, WBL, or apprenticeship setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A learner-centred, supportive approach with high standards for quality and complianceSalary: £28,162 - £30,854 (once/if qualified)
Location: Stockbridge, with travel as required
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week), permanent -
