Overview

City and Guilds Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance. The objective of the qualification is to support you in your IQA role in the workplace. You will learn about the processes and procedures of IQA including sample planning, report writing, working with Awarding Organisations and improving quality in assessment.

    • Unit 401 - Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment

    • Unit 402- Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

  • 3 - 6 Months - Virtual via Teams or classroom delivered.

  • Delegates will be assessed through:

    • Theory assessment – you must complete a series of activities and written questions during the session, covering all learning outcomes to gain the qualification

    • Practical assessment: you will be observed working with an assessor and you must provide work products to demonstrate you competence in internal quality assurance.

    All learning outcomes in this unit must be assessed using methods appropriate to the IQA trainee’s performance. These must include:

    • Observation of performance.

    • Examining products of work

    • Questioning.

    Requirements

    • Qualified Assessor

    • Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice (LIQA)
